Peter the Dog - The Cool Gang (Fajniaki) FREE PATTERN

MATERIALS:

  • YarnArt Mink - 1 skein, black
  • Nako Paris - 1 skein, white (I used this yarn to crochet The Cute Owl by LittleOwlsHut)
  • Alize Softy black for embroidering the nose
  • Black floss for embroidering the muzzle
  • Black and white piece of felt for the eyes (you may also crochet the eyes with white and black yarn)
  • White fabric paint and thin brush for painting the eyes reflexion
  • Crochet hook 2.5 mm.
 
In my pattern, in even-numbered rounds, I divided scs to obtain almost perfect round (not hexagonal shape): e.g. Rnd 4: (1 sc, inc, 1 sc) x 6 [24]. You can of course crochet traditional way: Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 [24].

HEAD & BODY

You may turn out the piece (when you crochet the fluffy yarn, the wrong side is more hairy).

Thin top part of the muzzle:

ch8, insert the hook in 4th ch from the hook and work: 4 dc, (4 dc, ch 1, 4 dc) in last chain, then work on the other side of the chain: 4 dc.
Fasten off. Sew the top part to the muzzle.

Sew the muzzle to the head (pin it firstly to find good placement). 
Stuff before you close the opening.

Embroider the nose and smile after sewing the muzzle to the head.

Direction of the needle: 1-2-1, 2-3-4-4 (scallop stitch), 2-5-6-6 (scallop stitch)

EYE (make 2)  

Version 1 - crochet:

White
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
Rnd 2: 6 inc [12]
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 [18]
 
Black pupil
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
Rnd 2: 6 inc [12]
 
Sew the pupil to the eye. Embroider white reflexion. 

 

Firstly I made crochet eyes but I decided I prefer felt eyes.

Version 2 - felt:

See the template for SEAL or DROP OF WATER
Felt eyes are glued with magic glue and then I added white reflexion with white fabric paint and thin brush.
 

TAIL

Black and white.
I've run out of yarn so the tail has white tip and a bit of black.
ch 4, insert the hook in 2nd ch from the hook and work 3 sc, 1 turning chain, turn.
Work as many rows as you want to get shorter or longer tail.
