TIP 1: Marker - working in continuous rounds

In my amigurumi patterns I crochet mostly in spiral rounds. I mark the beginning of each round with a piece of yarn in contrasting color, which I put in first stitch of next round.

If I crochet in rows, it is indicated in the pattern (crochet 1 turning chain and turn the work).

In order to place the marker follow short instructions:

1. After finishing the round grab marker (yarn) and pull it through the loop on crochet hook.

2. Insert the hook in the first stitch of new round and work single crochet.

3. We have first sc of next round with the marker inside.

I like this manner, because if I need to return to previous round, the marker will stop my work from further uncontrolled unraveling.
