MATERIALS:

  • YarnArt Happy - 1 skein, grey no 778 (you may use any yarn that is suitable for crochet hook 2.5 mm; Yarn Art Happy is a bit thick for the crochet hook 2.5. mm but I decided to use it because I had it in my stash)
(I used this yarn to crochet my Bears in Love)
  • Alize Softy black for embroidering the nose and muzzle (nose can be made with black felt)
  • grey minky material for the flippers (the flippers are sewn).
You may cut the flippers out of a piece of grey felt, sew on the machine or by hand (felt is good to sew with the blanket stitch - I show you the blanket stitch in my video about NUMBERJACKS).
  • Black and white piece of felt for the eyes (you may also crochet the eyes with white and black yarn)
  • White fabric paint and thin brush for painting the eyes reflexion
  • Crochet hook 2.5 mm.

In my pattern, in even-numbered rounds, I divided scs to obtain almost perfect round (not hexagonal shape): e.g. Rnd 4: (1 sc, inc, 1 sc) x 6 [24]. You can of course crochet traditional way: Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 [24].
